Jerry

Mussio Associates works in the field of education and human resource development. Its principal, Jerry Mussio, has over 30 years of professional experience in developing strategic plans, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and implementing large-scale projects in complex environments.

Mussio Associates has successfully completed a series of local and international projects over the past eight years, often partnering with other consultants. Most recently, we have completed projects for the Investment Agriculture Foundation of B.C., the B.C. Ministry of Education, the Yukon Department of Education, and the Canadian Council on Learning. In recent years, we have also completed a series of capacity-building projects with the Ministries of Education in Russia, Jordan, Moldova and Argentina.

Before forming Mussio Associates, Jerry Mussio was a senior manager with the B.C. Ministry of Education where he served as director of policy and planning, director of curriculum, and director of student assessment. He was responsible for managing the design and implementation of the Provincial Learning Assessment Program, the Grade 12 Examination Program and the Foundation Skills Assessment for Grades 4, 7 and 10. He then moved to Statistics Canada where he worked as an education and assessment specialist.

Between 2000 and 2004, Jerry served as Canada’s representative in development of the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment

Jerry holds a Ph.D. in educational measurement from the University of Toronto.
